We've reached the summer holiday half-way point and are slowly recovering from few days back on Georgian Bay. To call adventures with a two-year old and a routine turned on it's head a vacation seems to be implying a bit too much rest and relaxation. Call it a change of scenery and some time to unplug.
There was the hammock that sadly hung unused (and the book that wasn't cracked open at all).

But there were also new friends to meet and share secrets with for a day.

And there were some quiet stops along the way and mysteries to ponder.

And although I didn't get to sit in that hammock or read that book, I did get to take lots of pictures and visit one of my favourite yarn stores and touch all the precious things.

August seems like the perfect time to preempt the Fall temptation to knit socks (which always ends with me finishing one oversized sock) by falling even deeper in love with Scarves. Yarn followed me home and the needles are ready to jump back into action.
